The FLOCK 4Y-2 satellite, also known as Flock 4y-2, is a 3U CubeSat technology demonstration launched by PLAN on January 3, 2023, from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Launch Complex 40 using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 0.3 meters in length and diameter with a span of 0.3 meters. It has a dry mass of 5.7 kilograms and carries an imaging payload designated as Dove 24a1 (PS0, PS1 or PS2). FLOCK 4Y-2 is powered by solar cells and batteries and is designed to operate in orbit for approximately one year if placed in an International Space Station (ISS) orbit, or two to three years in a Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO). The satellite has a box shape with two panels.
