BINAR-4, also known as Binar-4, is a CubeSat (1U) satellite manufactured by CURTIN and owned by CURTIN University. It was launched on November 20, 1998, from the TYSMC launch site using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle from LC40. The satellite has dimensions of 0.1 meters in length and diameter with a span of 0.3 meters and weighs 1 kilogram at dry mass. Its primary mission is for technology purposes, powered by solar cells and batteries. BINAR-4 was designed to operate for approximately one year and is identified by the NORAD catalog ID 60952.
