LACE-1, also known as Lace A, is a 6U CubeSat technology satellite owned by NIWCP and manufactured by PUMPK/NIWCP. It was launched on March 4, 2024, from AFWTR SLC4E using the Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The satellite measures 0.3 meters in length and has a diameter of 0.2 meters with a span of 0.3 meters. LACE-1 weighs approximately 10 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. It is powered by solar cells and batteries and features a box shape augmented with four panels for additional surface area. The satellite's mission duration is projected to be one year, focusing on technology applications.
