Summary
GSAT0211 (GALILEO 14), also known as GalileoSat-14, is a navigation satellite launched on May 24, 2016, from the Guiana Space Center using a Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle. It was manufactured by OHB and operates under the ownership of GSAEU (European GNSS Agency). The satellite has dimensions of 2.7 meters in length, 1.6 meters in diameter, and spans 14.5 meters with its solar arrays extended. Its dry mass is 660 kilograms, and it was launched at a mass of 733 kilograms. Equipped with Galileo Navigation payload and MEO SAR equipment, the satellite uses two deployable solar arrays for power generation alongside batteries. The spacecraft has a box shape with two panels and a surface area of 6.5968 square meters. GSAT0211 is part of the SmartMEO configuration under the GalileoSat bus series and its mission is to provide navigation services, designed to operate in medium Earth orbit for up to 12 years.
