ASTROSAT, also known as Astrosat Bus (OBJECT_ID: 2015-052A), is an astronomy satellite launched by ISRO on September 28, 2015, from the Sriharikota Range using a PSLV-XL launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 2 meters in length with a diameter of 1.3 meters and spans 7 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. It has a dry mass of 1470 kilograms and was equipped at launch with UVIT, LAXPC, SXT, CZTI, SSM, and CPM instruments for ultraviolet and X-Ray astronomy studies.
