ORION EFT-1 is an Orion crew module launched on December 5, 2014, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's SLC37B launch pad using a Delta 4H launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 3.5 meters in length and a diameter and span of 5 meters each. It had a dry mass of 9400 kilograms, which is also its launch mass. Manufactured by LMKSC for JSC, the mission was to test the Orion crewed spacecraft. Its power source consisted of batteries, and it operated for approximately 4.5 hours as part of a crewed spacecraft mission with no propulsion system onboard aside from what was provided by the Delta-4H upper stage. The shape of ORION EFT-1 is conical.
