Summary
COSMOS 2458 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2458, is a Russian navigation satellite launched on December 14, 2009, from the Tyuratam Space Center using the Proton-M/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft uses a Uragan bus with a configuration of a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus and has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and 7.8 meters in span. It weighs 1450 kilograms at launch with a dry mass of 1200 kilograms. The satellite is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation.
