The spacecraft uses the Myriade bus and configuration, manufactured by EADSB. With a dry mass of 114 kilograms and a launch mass of 119 kilograms, it measures 0.6 meters in length and diameter with a span of 1 meter. ESSAIM-2 is equipped with a deployable solar array and batteries for power supply. Its mission duration was planned for three years, and the satellite has a box plus pan shape design.
