COSMOS 2182, also known as Kosmos-2182, is a reconnaissance satellite belonging to Russia's VVS (Russian Air Force). Launched on April 1, 1992, from the PLMSC launch site using a Soyuz-U-PVB vehicle, it was manufactured by TSSKB and designed for photo reconnaissance with film return capabilities. The satellite measures 6.3 meters in length and has a diameter of 2.7 meters, featuring a cylindrical shape with two panels. It consists of a Yantar Bus configuration including the main reentry module and two small reentry capsules. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply, COSMOS 2182 carries the Kobal't No. 542 payload. The satellite's dry mass is 2886 kg, identical to its launch mass.
