USA 2, also known as KH-9 and HEXAGON SV-19, is a reconnaissance satellite launched by the US on June 25, 1984, from AFWTR's SLC4E pad using a Titan 34D launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 15 meters in length with a diameter of 3 meters and span of 15 meters, having a launch mass of 6,320 kg and a dry mass of 5,000 kg. It was manufactured by LMSC for the NRO/SAFSP, equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries to power its operations. The satellite is configured with SCS, four Mk.8 SRVs, and one Mk.5 SRV (for MCS versions only) and has a cylindrical shape with two panoramic sections. Its mission was dedicated to photo reconnaissance, and it operated for 40 to 275 days post-launch.
