Summary
COSMOS 1366, also known as Kosmos-1366, is a military relay satellite with the OBJECT_ID 1982-044A and BUS Geizer. It was launched on May 17, 1982, from TYMSC launch site using Proton-K/DM launch vehicle at LC200/39 pad. The satellite has a cylindrical shape with two panels and a plate, measuring 5.5 meters in length, 2.5 meters in diameter, and has a span of 9 meters. It weighs approximately 1900 kilograms dry and had an initial launch mass of 2100 kilograms. Equipped with Slav-2 and Sintez C-band transponders for communication purposes, it uses two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. The satellite's propulsion system includes four SPT-70 Stationary Plasma Thrusters. It was launched by GUKOS and manufactured by NPOPM in the Soviet Union (SU).
