COSMOS 1167 (also known as Kosmos-1167) is a satellite launched by the Soviet Union on March 14, 1980, from Tyuratam Space Center using a Tsiklon-2 launch vehicle. It has a cylindrical shape with two panels and measures 10 meters in length, 1.3 meters in diameter, and spans 17 meters when deployed. The satellite's dry mass is 3000 kilograms, and its total launch mass was 3300 kilograms. Manufactured by ARSL/KOMET, COSMOS 1167 carries a payload known as US-P No. 117 for the VMF (Voenno-Morskoy Flot). Its reflective surface area is approximately 24.333 square meters.
