Summary
SHENZHOU-16 (SZ-16), also known as Shenzhou 16, is a crewed spacecraft launched by China on May 30, 2023, from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center using the Chang Zheng 2F launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 9.3 meters in length and has a diameter of 3.2 meters with a span of 17 meters. It consists of a service module, return module, and an orbital module equipped with a docking collar. SHENZHOU-16 carries the Shenzhou 16 Fanhui Cang payload and is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The spacecraft's dry mass is 3258 kg, which is identical to its launch mass. It was manufactured by CALT (China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology) for CMSEO (China Manned Space Engineering Office).
