Summary
The HAWK-7C satellite, also known as Hawk 7C, was designed and manufactured by UTIAS for the owner HE360 in the United States. It uses the Defiant bus configuration of the Hawk2G series and was launched on April 15, 2023, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The satellite measures 0.45 meters in length, has a diameter of 0.3 meters, and spans 1 meter with a dry mass of 30 kilograms. It was designed for a three-year operational lifetime to conduct RF spectrum monitoring, SIGINT (Signal Intelligence), and traffic monitoring missions. Power is supplied by solar cells and batteries, while its propulsion system consists of FEES or water thrusters (#2-6) and water thrusters (#7 and onwards). The satellite has a box shape with two panels for deployment.
