The STARLINK-5380 satellite, also known as Starlink 5380, is part of SpaceX's Starlink constellation and was launched on December 28, 2022, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Launch Complex 40, using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of approximately 0.2 meters in length, 2.8 meters in diameter, and 9 meters in span. It has a dry mass of 290 kg and was launched with a total mass of 305 kg. Equipped with Ku/Ka-band payload capabilities and an optical inter-satellite link, the satellite uses solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its propulsion system includes Krypton ion thrusters. The purpose of this communication satellite is to support SpaceX's global internet connectivity mission as part of the Starlink Group 5-1-10 constellation.
