NUSAT-18 (VERA), also known as Vera, is an Earth observation satellite manufactured by URUGUS and owned by the same entity under the NewSat IV bus configuration. It was launched on November 6, 2020, from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center's LC16 using a Chang Zheng 6 launch vehicle. The satellite measures 0.75 meters in length with a diameter of 0.4 meters and has a span of 0.75 meters. It has a dry mass of 37 kilograms and weighed 44 kilograms at launch. Vera is equipped with an imaging payload for Earth observation and features solar cells along with batteries as its power source. The satellite is designed to operate for about 3-4 years in space, maintaining its mission objectives without the need for a motor due to its box shape design.
