LEMUR-2-NICHOL, also known as Lemur-2-Nichol, is a 3U CubeSat satellite owned by SPIRE and manufactured by SPIREG. It was launched on September 28, 2020, from the PLMSC launch site at LC43/4 using a Soyuz-2-1B launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.3 meters in length and diameter, with a span also measuring 0.3 meters, and it weighs 4.6 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. It is equipped with equipment such as STRATOS (GPS radio occultation payload), SENSE (AIS-receiver), and AirSafe (ASD-B payload). Power is provided by solar cells and batteries. The satellite's shape consists of a box with two panels and it operates in the US orbital regime.
