TIANTUO 5, also known as Tiantuo-5, is a technology satellite owned and operated by NUDTC (National University of Defense Technology Changsha). It was launched on August 23, 2020, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center's LC43/94 launch pad using the Chang Zheng 2D launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.7 meters in length and diameter, with a span of 0.7 meters. It weighs 20 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. Its power source consists of solar cells and batteries. TIANTUO 5 is shaped like a box and was designed for technology demonstration purposes.
