Summary
The BEIDOU-3 M19 satellite, also known as Beidou DW 52, was launched on December 16, 2019, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center's LC3 launch pad using a Chang Zheng 3B/YZ-1 launch vehicle. The spacecraft is part of the BD-3M bus series and serves for navigation purposes under the ownership of CNSA (China National Space Administration). It measures 2.2 meters in length, has a diameter of 1.7 meters, and spans approximately 10 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. Its dry mass is about 850 kilograms while it had a launch mass of 1014 kilograms. The satellite's structure consists of a box with two panels and it features batteries and two deployable solar arrays for power generation. Manufactured by CAST, the BEIDOU-3 M19 has an expected operational lifetime of 12 years.
