CAS-7B, also known as Bei Ligong 1 hao, is a CubeSat (1.5U) modified satellite manufactured by BIT for educational purposes and amateur radio communication technology. It was launched on July 25, 2019, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China using the Shuang Quxian 1 launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.2 meters in length, 0.1 meters in diameter, and a span of 0.5 meters. It weighs approximately 3 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. Powered by solar cells and batteries, CAS-7B is owned by CAMSAT and its operational lifetime is expected to be between a few days to one month. Its shape consists of a box with a sphere attached, and it serves educational, amateur radio communication, and technological purposes.
