It was launched on July 29, 2018, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (XICLF), LC3 launch pad using the Chang Zheng 3B/YZ-1 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has a box shape with two panels, measures approximately 2.2 meters in length and 1.7 meters in diameter, with a span of 10 meters. It has a dry mass of 850 kg and was launched with a total mass of 1014 kg. Equipped with 2 deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation, its mission is to support navigation services as part of the Beidou Navigation Satellite System.
