BATSU-CS1 (IRAZU) is a CubeSat 1U satellite launched on November 20, 1998, from TYMSC using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle at LC40. It measures 0.1 meters in length and diameter with the same span dimension, and it has a dry mass of 1 kg. The satellite is owned by ACAE/ITCR and manufactured by ITCR for technology and educational purposes. Equipped with SOBC equipment and powered by solar cells and batteries, BATSU-CS1 carries the payload named Irazu. Its shape is box-like and it operates in space since its stabilization date on May 11, 2018. The satellite's country of origin is CR (Costa Rica).
