It was launched on March 29, 2018, from Xichang Satellite Launch Center's LC2 launch pad using the Chang Zheng 3B/YZ-1 launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures approximately 2.2 meters in length and 1.7 meters in diameter with a span of 10 meters. Its dry mass is 850 kg, and it had an initial launch mass of 1014 kg. BEIDOU-3 M10 is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply and has a mission lifetime of 12 years. The satellite's shape consists of a box with two panels, manufactured by SECM (Satellite Equipment Corporation of China), to serve the navigation purpose in the Beidou constellation.
