Launched on October 11, 2017, from the Air Force Eastern Test Range Launch Complex 39A using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, it has a configuration based on the Eurostar-3000 bus manufactured by ADSB. The satellite is owned and operated by SESSA (SES S.A.) and carries a payload that includes 24 Ku-band transponders and 24 C-band transponders for communication purposes.
