SNUSAT-1B, also known as SNUSAT 1b, is a CubeSat (2U) satellite manufactured by SNU and launched on November 20, 1998, from the TYSMC launch site using an Atlas V 401 launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.2 meters in length and diameter, and spans 0.2 meters with a dry mass of 2 kg. It is equipped with FIPEX equipment for technology and thermospheric research purposes. SNUSAT-1B's power system consists of two deployable fixed solar arrays, solar cells, and batteries. The satellite has no motor or specified attitude control system (ADCS). Its mission duration was initially set to last 3 months but stabilized on May 25, 2017. It carries the QB50-KR03 payload and is owned by SNU.
