FLOCK 3P-83 is a CubeSat (3U) satellite, identified by NORAD CAT ID 42050 and OBJECT ID 2017-008DG, launched on February 15, 2017, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre using a PSLV-XL launch vehicle. The spacecraft, manufactured by PLAN, measures 30 cm in length with a diameter of 10 cm and a span of 30 cm. It has a dry mass of 4.7 kg and is equipped with PS0, PS1 or PS2 imaging payload technology under the Dove 0F3F designation. Its power supply consists of solar cells and batteries. The satellite’s purpose is for technological advancement and it operates in either an ISS orbit with a lifetime of about one year, or in Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO) where its operational life expectancy extends to two to three years. It does not have any motor propulsion except for FEEP (#Flock-3p') models. The satellite's shape is characterized as Box+2 pan and it has an RCS of 0.059.
