The satellite FLOCK 3P-56 (OBJECT_ID: 2017-008CY) is a CubeSat (3U) technology demonstrator manufactured by PLAN and launched on February 15, 2017, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre using the PSLV-XL launch vehicle. It has dimensions of 0.3 meters in length with a span of 0.3 meters and weighs 4.7 kilograms at launch and dry mass. The satellite is equipped with PS0, PS1 or PS2 imaging payload (Dove 100F) for capturing Earth imagery. Its power system includes solar cells and batteries to maintain operation. FLOCK 3P-56 was designed to operate in a low Earth orbit, with an expected lifetime of about one year in the International Space Station orbit and two to three years in Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO). The satellite has a box shape with two panels and a RCS value of 0.0989. It is owned by PLAN for technology purposes.
