The FLOCK 3P-40 satellite, also known as Alt Name: Flock 3p-40, is a CubeSat (3U) technology mission satellite launched by the US on February 15, 2017, from SRILR using PSLV-XL launch vehicle. The satellite measures 0.3 meters in length and diameter with a span of 0.3 meters, featuring solar cells and batteries for power and equipped with PS0, PS1 or PS2 imaging payload as Dove 1039. With a dry mass of 4.7 kg, which is the same as its launch mass, it was manufactured by PLAN. Its mission duration ranges from about one year in an ISS orbit to two to three years in Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO). The satellite's shape consists of a box with two panels and has a RCS value of 0.057.
