Summary
PERUSAT 1 (also known as PeruSat-1) is an Earth observation satellite launched on September 16, 2016, from Guiana Space Centre using a Vega launch vehicle. It was manufactured by ADST and owned by MDPE. The satellite measures 1.7 meters in length with a diameter of 1 meter and spans 4.5 meters when its solar panels are deployed. Its dry mass is 400 kg, while it had a launch mass of 430 kg. Equipped with a 1-meter panchromatic imager and a 2-meter imager in four spectral bands, PERUSAT 1 uses solar cells and batteries for power supply. The satellite has a planned lifetime of 10 years and was designed on the AstroBus-S platform. Its shape is described as hex-cyl+3 panels with an RCS (Reflectivity Coefficient) of 2.3328.
