KMS 4, also known as Kwangmyongsong-4-ho, is a TD Satellite designed for Earth observation and was manufactured by NADA in North Korea (KP). It was launched on February 7, 2016, from the YUN launch site using the Kwangmyongsong launch vehicle. The satellite measures 0.8 meters in length with a diameter of 0.6 meters and has a span of 0.8 meters. Its dry mass is 100 kilograms, which is identical to its launch mass. Equipped with two cameras for observation purposes, KMS 4 utilizes power generated from deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries. The spacecraft's shape is box-like and features a radar cross-section (RCS) of 0.6144 square meters.
