Summary
ARSAT 2, also known as ARSAT-2, is a communication satellite owned by ARSAT and manufactured by INVAP using the ARSAT-Bus configuration (ARSAT-3K bus). It was launched on September 30, 2015, from ELA3 at the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana using an Ariane 5ECA launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 4.9 meters in length, a diameter of 1.8 meters, and spans 16.3 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. It has a dry mass of 1,500 kg and a launch mass of 2,977 kg. Equipped with 26 Ku-band (2 beams) and 10 C-band (hemi beam) equivalent transponders, ARSAT 2 is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries, providing communication services for a planned operational lifetime of 15 years.
