The FLOCK 1E-14 satellite, also known as Flock 1e-14, is a CubeSat (3U) technology demonstration satellite launched on November 20, 1998, from LC40 at TYMSC using the Falcon 9 launch vehicle. With dimensions of 0.3 meters in length and diameter, and 0.3 meters in span, it has a dry mass and launch mass of 4.5 kg each. The satellite is owned and manufactured by PLABS and was equipped with PS0, PS1 or PS2 imaging payload Dove 0B0F for technology demonstration purposes. Its power system consists of solar cells and batteries, and the satellite's shape is described as a box with two panels. It operates in a low Earth orbit with an expected lifetime of approximately 1 year in ISS orbits and 2-3 years in Sun-Synchronous Orbits (SSO).
