DIRECTV 15 (also known as DirecTV 15) is a communication satellite owned by DTVA and operated under the mission name DirecTV-15. Launched on May 27, 2015, from ELA3 in French Guiana using an Ariane 5ECA launch vehicle, it has a bus configuration based on the Eurostar 3000 platform manufactured by ADST. The satellite is equipped with 30 high power Ku-band transponders, 24 Ka-band transponders, and 18 Reverse Band transponders to facilitate its communication purposes. It has dimensions of approximately 6.2 meters in length, 2.6 meters in diameter, and spans about 45 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. The dry mass is recorded at 3,381 kg with a launch mass of 6,205 kg. DIRECTV 15 is designed for a 15-year operational lifetime and uses R-4D motors for propulsion. It features two deployable solar arrays along with batteries to supply power.
