Summary
GSAT0203 (GALILEO 7), also known as GalileoSat-7, is a navigation satellite launched on March 27, 2015, from the Guiana Space Center using a Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 2.7 meters in length and has a diameter of 1.6 meters with a span of 14.5 meters due to its solar arrays. It has a dry mass of 660 kilograms and was launched with a total mass of 733 kilograms. Equipped with Galileo Navigation payload and MEO SAR equipment, it is part of the SmartMEO configuration manufactured by OHB for GSAEU (European Union's Agency for the Space Programme). The satellite uses AOCS motor for attitude control and features two deployable solar arrays along with batteries for power generation. It was stabilized in orbit on March 28, 2015, and is expected to operate for a lifetime of twelve years.
