The TSUBAME satellite, also known as Tsubame and designated by NORAD CAT ID 40302 and OBJECT_ID 2014-070E, is a small spacecraft designed for astronomical and X-ray observation purposes. Launched on November 6, 2014, from the Dnepr launch vehicle at Sh370/13 launch pad, it has dimensions of 0.5 meters in length, 0.4 meters in diameter, and spans up to 1.2 meters when its two panels are deployed. The satellite weighs 43 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. It is a collaborative project between TIT and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), with TIT as the manufacturer. TSUBAME's power supply relies on solar cells and batteries, and it has a box shape with two extended panels. Its radio cross-section (RCS) is measured at 0.503 m².
