It was launched on August 13, 2014, from AFWTR SLC3E using the Atlas V 401 launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 4.3 meters in length with a diameter of 2.5 meters and has a span of 7.1 meters. Its dry mass is 2,200 kg while its launch mass was 2,615 kg. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply, WORLDVIEW-3 operates in space to provide Earth observation services with an expected lifetime of 7.25 years.
