FLOCK 1C-3 is a CubeSat (3U) satellite owned by Planet Labs (PLABS), launched from DLS on June 19, 2014, using the Dnepr launch vehicle from Launch Pad Sh370/13. The satellite measures 0.3 meters in length and spans 0.3 meters with a diameter of 0.1 meters. It has a dry mass of 4.25 kg and was equipped with solar cells and batteries for power, along with an imaging payload capable of PS0, PS1 or PS2 configurations. The satellite's shape is described as box+2 pan, and it does not have a motor unless specified as FEEP for certain models in the #Flock-3p series. It was designed for technology demonstration purposes and has an expected lifetime ranging from approximately one year when operating in low Earth orbit near the International Space Station (ISS) to 2-3 years in Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO).
