FLOCK 1-24, also known as Flock 1-23, is a CubeSat (3U) satellite manufactured by PLABS and owned by the same entity. It was launched on November 20, 1998, from TYMSC Pad 0A using an Antares 120 launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.3 meters in length and diameter, with a span of 0.3 meters. Its dry mass is 4.25 kg, identical to its launch mass. Equipped with either PS0, PS1, or PS2 imaging payload (Dove 0725), FLOCK 1-24 operates primarily for technology demonstration purposes. It uses solar cells and batteries for power supply and has a shape described as "Box+2 pan" with an RCS of 0.0812. The expected lifetime is approximately one year in ISS orbit or two to three years in SSO (Sun-Synchronous Orbit).
