The satellite FLOCK 1-22 (also known as Dove 0728) is a CubeSat (3U) technology demonstration satellite owned by Planet Labs (PLABS). Launched on November 20, 1998, from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport Launch Pad 0A using an Antares 120 launch vehicle, it has a length of 0.3 meters and a diameter of 0.1 meters with a dry mass of 4.25 kilograms. It is equipped with imaging payloads (PS0, PS1, or PS2) for Earth observation, powered by solar cells and batteries. The satellite's shape is described as Box+2 pan, with an RCS value of 0.0929. Its operational lifetime varies between approximately one year in the International Space Station orbit and two to three years in sun-synchronous orbit (SSO).
