The FLOCK 1-7 satellite, also known as Flock 1-11, is a CubeSat (3U) configuration owned and operated by PLABS, with a launch date of November 20, 1998, from the TYSMC site using an Antares 120 launch vehicle. It has dimensions of 0.3 meters in length, 0.1 meter diameter, and spans 0.3 meters, with both dry and launch masses at 4.25 kilograms. The satellite is equipped with a PS0, PS1 or PS2 imaging payload and solar cells for power generation, including batteries. Its primary purpose is technology demonstration. FLOCK 1-7 has an expected lifetime of approximately one year in ISS orbit but can operate for two to three years in sun-synchronous orbit (SSO). The satellite's shape consists of a box with two panels and it was stabilized by February 12, 2014.
