PROMETHEUS 1-2 is a CubeSat (1.5U) technology satellite operated by SOCOM/LANL and manufactured by LANL in the United States. Launched on November 20, 2013, from WLPIS Pad 0B using a Minotaur I launch vehicle, it has dimensions of 0.1 meters for length, diameter, and span. The satellite weighs 1 kilogram at both dry mass and launch mass. It is powered by four deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries. Its shape is box-like with an RCS (Reflective Coefficient) value of 0.169. PROMETHEUS 1-2 has a projected lifetime of 3 to 5 years, aimed at technology demonstration purposes.
