GRAIL-A (EBB) is a US satellite launched on September 10, 2011, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's SLC17B launch pad using the Delta 7920H launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 1.1 meters in length and has a diameter of 0.8 meters with a span of 1.1 meters. Its dry mass is 201 kilograms, and it had a launch mass of 307 kilograms. GRAIL-A's mission was to map the lunar gravity field, supported by two deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries for power supply. The satellite operated for approximately 270 days after its deployment in space. It was manufactured by LMSSD under the JPL ownership, designed as a Box + 2 Pan shape with an AOCS motor system.
