STS 131, also known as Discovery (STS-131), is a winged orbiter crewed spacecraft launched on April 5, 2010, from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center using a Space Shuttle launch vehicle. It was manufactured by BNAP and owned by JSC. The satellite has dimensions of 37.3 meters in length and span, with a diameter of 23.8 meters, and it had a dry mass of 87,935 kilograms and a launch mass of 95,869 kilograms. It was equipped with fuel cells and batteries for power generation. The spacecraft's configuration includes a box shape with two wings and a fin. Its mission purpose was to serve as a crewed spacecraft.
