COSMOS 2450 (also known as Kosmos-2450) is a reconnaissance satellite equipped for film return type photography, launched on April 29, 2009, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome LC16/2 using a Soyuz-U-PVB launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 6.3 meters in length and diameter, with a span of 6.3 meters, and a dry mass of 3186 kg. It is based on the Yantar'-4K2M bus configuration, including a main reentry module and two small reentry capsules for film return. The satellite's power system consists of two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its mission was conducted by KVR (Russian Reconnaissance Satellite System) with a payload designated as Kobal't-M No. 560, manufactured by ARSL. COSMOS 2450 had a planned lifetime of 130 days for reconnaissance purposes.
