It was launched on July 7, 2008, from ELA3 launch pad at the Guiana Space Centre using an Ariane 5ECA launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 6.2 meters in length, 2.4 meters in diameter, and has a span of 31.1 meters. It has a dry mass of 1774 kilograms and a launch mass of 4194 kilograms. Equipped with the FS-1300 bus configuration and SSL-1300 design, IS-25 features 16 (+6) Ku-band transponders and 36 (+2) C-band transponders for communication services.
