The PROGRESS-M 62 satellite, also known as Progress M-62, was launched on December 23, 2007, from Tyuratam (Baikonur Cosmodrome) Launch Complex LC1 using a Soyuz-U-PVB launch vehicle. It is operated by the Russian Federal Space Agency (RKKE) and manufactured by PROGT for cargo missions. The satellite measures 7.9 meters in length with a diameter of 2.7 meters, spans 7.9 meters, has a dry mass of 4600 kg, and weighed 7270 kg at launch. Its shape is described as a sphere plus cone plus cylinder plus two panels. The satellite’s power system includes two deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries. It is equipped with an 11D428A motor and carries the Progress 7K-TGM No. 362 payload for its mission purposes.
