SUITSAT (AO-54), also known as Orlan-M No. 14, is an amateur radio communication satellite based on a modified Orlan-M spacesuit configuration and was launched on September 8, 2005, from the TYM launch site using Soyuz-U-PVB as the launch vehicle. With dimensions of 2 meters in length and diameter, and a span of 2 meters, it has a dry mass of 140 kilograms which is also its launch mass. The satellite was equipped with batteries for power supply and had an expected lifetime of 2 to 4 days according to initial plans. Manufactured by ZVEZ and operated by RKKE, SUITSAT aimed to facilitate amateur radio communication from space using a box mounted on the Orlan-M spacesuit.
