SHENZHOU-6 (SZ-6), also known as Shenzhou 6, is a crewed spacecraft launched by CMSEO on October 12, 2005, from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center's LC921 launch pad using the Chang Zheng 2F launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 10 meters in length and has a diameter of 3.2 meters with a span of 10 meters. It consists of a service module, return module, and autonomous orbital module, manufactured by CALT. SHENZHOU-6 weighs 3300 kilograms at launch and is powered by four deployable solar arrays and batteries. The spacecraft's propulsion system includes four retro motors for deorbit maneuvers. Its shape is described as a combination of cylindrical and conical sections. With a RCS (Reaction Control System) rating of 15.8489, SHENZHOU-6 was designed to carry the Shenzhou 6 Fanhui Cang payload, fulfilling its purpose as a crewed spacecraft for China's space missions.
