It was manufactured by Alenia (ALEN) and operated by EUTSA with a mission to provide communication services. The satellite is based on the GeoBus (Italsat Bus) configuration and has dimensions of 2.8 meters in length, 2.1 meters in diameter, and a span of 19 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. It carries 24 active Ku-band transponders for communication purposes. At launch, it had a mass of 2700 kg with a dry mass of 1550 kg, powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries.
