Summary
MAROC-TUBSAT, also known as Zarkae Al Yamama, is a small Earth observation satellite operated by CRTS (Centre de Recherche en Télécommunications Spatiales) and manufactured by TUB (Technical University of Berlin). It was launched on December 10, 2001, from the Tianshan Missile Comprehensive Test Site (TYMSC), using a Zenit-2 launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.3 meters in length and 0.4 meters in both diameter and span. With a dry mass of 45 kilograms, it is powered by solar cells and batteries. MAROC-TUBSAT is equipped with a TV camera for Earth observation and store-and-forward communication payload to transmit data. The satellite has a box shape and an RCS (reflectivity) value of 0.349 but does not have a motor or ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System).
